Health Tip: If You're Inline Skating
Medical news

Inline skating can be great exercise and a lot of fun. But when you're on a roll and it's time to slow down, make sure you know how to brake safely.

The American Council on Exercise mentions these suggestions:

Keep arms in front of you, knees and legs relaxed, posture upright and roll slowly forward on both feet.

Holding that posture, stagger (scissor) your right foot in front of your left foot a few inches.
With feet in the scissor position, lift your right toe until you feel the brake engage.
Keep ankles and knees flexed and stay relaxed, and slowly come to a stop. It probably will take at least a few feet.
