The American Academy of Pediatrics explains:


Bath -- A relaxing, soothing bath before bed can calm children and let them know it's time for sleep.
Brushing teeth -- This is a good habit for healthier teeth.


Books -- Reading a favorite book each night can relax children.
Bedtime -- Let children fall asleep on their own, after a soothing bedtime routine.
